Veteran pass-rusher Jason Pierre-Paul is set to join the New Orleans Saints, augmenting their pass rush as they look to separate themselves in a competitive NFC South.
Pierre-Paul, a three-time Pro Bowler and former New York Giants star, has not played this season but has been training intensively in hopes of joining a contender.
In his 13-year NFL career, Pierre-Paul has 629 tackles, 127 tackles for a loss and 94.5 sacks.
Last season, Pierre-Paul made 13 starts for the Baltimore Ravens, registering three sacks, 26 tackles (five for loss), three quarterback hits, one interception and five passes defensed.
The Saints, currently tied for 25th in the NFL with just 18 sacks in 10 games, could use Pierre-Paul's experience and skills to bolster their pass-rushing depth.
