Veteran Actor Alan Rachins Dies at 82

Known for his roles in 'L.A. Law' and 'Dharma & Greg,' Rachins passed away from heart failure in his sleep.

Alan Rachins, acclaimed for his portrayal of Douglas Brackman Jr. in 'L.A. Law,' died of heart failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Rachins was also celebrated for his role as Larry Finkelstein on the sitcom 'Dharma & Greg,' where he appeared in all 199 episodes.
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Rachins began his career on Broadway and was involved in writing and directing before returning to acting.
Throughout his career, Rachins received nominations for both an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his work on 'L.A. Law.'
He is survived by his wife Joanna Frank, who appeared alongside him in 'L.A. Law,' and their son Robert.
