Overview

• Aciturri will produce the entire VX4 airframe—from wing and empennage to pylons and fuselage—for both pre-production prototypes and certified models under a Tier 1 supply agreement.
• The supplier will assume engineering responsibility for key structural components and deliver concurrent manufacturing engineering to support efficient, reliable, scalable production.
• The deal complements Vertical’s existing avionics partnership with Honeywell and follows the VX4’s successful open-airspace and inter-airport prototype flights achieved in May and July.
• Vertical Aerospace targets formal type certification by 2028 and is now focused on meeting structural certification milestones while ramping up manufacturing capacity.
• Aciturri’s integration under Sonaca and its track record on Airbus A320, Boeing 737 and prior eVTOL programmes underpin the industrial foundation of the airframe programme.
