Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing concluded the Formula 1 season with a record-breaking 19th victory in Abu Dhabi, marking one of the most dominant campaigns in the sport's history.
Despite Verstappen's dominance, Formula 1 saw a successful year in the U.S. with three races held in Austin, Miami, and Las Vegas, and the same three contests are scheduled for 2024.
Liberty Media, the American owner of Formula 1, invested $600 million in the Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend, which was seen as a success and delivered one of the most thrilling races of 2023.
Hollywood is showing increased interest in the sport, with Brad Pitt making a movie about Formula 1 and actors Ryan Reynolds and Michael B. Jordan buying a stake in the Alpine F1 Team.
American automakers are also getting involved, with Ford partnering with Red Bull Racing to develop the team’s power unit for the 2026 season, and Andretti making a bid for adding an all-American team to the grid in 2026, partnering with Cadillac.
