Overview

  • After passing the classroom exam and instructor-led laps on Friday, Max Verstappen received a DMSB Grade B permit to race a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.
  • In a wet qualifying session, he set a best lap of 10:21.591 to take sixth in CUP3 and was the quickest among the detuned Permit B entries.
  • Racing with roughly 300 hp under Permit B rules, he was outgunned on straights at the start and later pitted for a minor brake issue before continuing cleanly.
  • He completed the mandatory 14 incident‑free laps, handed the car to teammate Chris Lulham, and was officially classified seventh in CUP3 and first among the reduced‑power cars.
  • A technical issue with Lionspeed’s sister car No. 89 briefly threatened his program, but he satisfied participation by exiting the pit lane in it; DMSB validation now stands between him and a targeted GT3 outing with Emil Frey on September 27.
