Vermont Town Official, Family Found Shot to Death in Home

Police identified the victims as Brian Crossman, his wife Erica, and her son Colin Taft, with no arrests made yet.

The bodies of Brian Crossman, 46, Erica Crossman, 41, and Colin Taft, 13, were discovered Sunday in their Pawlet, VT home.
All three deaths have been ruled homicides, with Brian and Erica shot in the head and Brian also in the torso, while Colin suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
A relative, found in blood-soaked clothing, alerted police to the scene but has not been confirmed as a suspect.
Brian Crossman was a recently elected selectboard member in the small town of Pawlet, which has a population of about 1,400.
The Vermont State Police investigation is ongoing, and authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward.
