Vermont to Launch Online Sports Betting in January

DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics Sportsbook Selected as Operators; Expected to Generate $7 Million in First Year

Mobile sports betting is set to launch in Vermont on January 11, as announced by Republican Governor Phil Scott.
The state Department of Liquor and Lottery has selected DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics Sportsbook to operate the online wagering platforms.
Governor Scott signed a bill in June legalizing online sports betting, making Vermont one of nearly three dozen states to do so.
Operators will be required to provide the state with an annual responsible gaming plan, including measures for problem gambling.
The sports betting operation is expected to generate up to $7 million in revenue for Vermont in its first full year.
