Vermont Shooting Suspect Had Past Run-ins with Police; Victims Recovering

Hisham Awartani, one of the victims, suffered a spinal injury in the shooting and is currently unable to move his legs.
Kinnan Abdalhamid, another victim, has been discharged from the hospital, while the third victim, Tahseen Ali Ahmad, is reported to be in stable condition.
Eaton, who pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder charges, is being held without bail pending a hearing.
The shooting is being investigated as a possible hate crime, with the victims believing they were targeted because they were speaking a mix of Arabic and English and wearing Palestinian kaffiyehs.
