Verma Leads Outer Delhi Road and Drain Inspections in 'Government on Wheels' Phase Two

A field-first drive groups PWD, DJB with other civic teams on one bus to fast-track decisions.

Overview

  • The inspection covered Dhaula Kuan, Najafgarh, Nangloi, Mundka, Karala and Mangolpuri, including key stretches such as UER-II, NangloiNajafgarh Road and Rohtak Road near Mundka.
  • Parvesh Verma said the Mundka village stretch has been transferred to NHAI and that a proper drainage system is being constructed along the corridor.
  • He pledged that the Punjabi BaghBahadurgarh stretch will be significantly improved within one year.
  • Officials were ordered to file immediate status reports and begin corrective work after faults such as damaged carriageways, encroached footpaths, faulty drains and sanitation lapses were flagged.
  • The second-phase field review follows an August launch that began with a 47-km Outer Ring Road check, with multi-department teams conducting joint site assessments to speed up fixes and increase accountability.
