Overview
- Verdi has called warning strikes at TÜV Nord and TÜV Hessen for July 22–23, and rolling actions at TÜV Süd are set to continue until August 1.
- The union’s wage demands include an 8% increase (minimum €300) for TÜV Süd employees and a 7.5% rise (minimum €330) for staff at TÜV Nord and Hessen.
- Employers have offered pay increases of 2.1% over two years in two separate proposals.
- The actions threaten to postpone or cancel vehicle inspections, driver license tests, safety audits and certification services.
- Collective bargaining scheduled for July 24–25, followed by another round on August 1, will determine whether the strikes cease or escalate.
