Venus Williams Receives Wild Card for 24th US Open Appearance

Venus Williams lost in the first round at Wimbledon and has not advanced past the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam since 2017.
The 42-year-old Williams is looking to rebound after taking a six-month break due to injury.
Williams defeated a top 20 player recently for the first time in four years.
Other wild cards were given to former world number one Caroline Wozniacki and American men John Isner and Steve Johnson.
Williams first reached the US Open final in 1997 and won back-to-back titles in 2000 and 2001.
