Overview

• Alexander Payne was confirmed in April as president of the main competition jury and is joined by Stéphane Brizé, Maura Delpero, Cristian Mungiu, Mohammad Rasoulof, Fernanda Torres and Zhao Tao.
• The main competition jury will award the Golden Lion for best film, two Silver Lions, the Coppa Volpi prizes, best screenplay, the Special Jury Prize and the Marcello Mastroianni Award.
• Julia Ducournau chairs the Orizzonti jury alongside Yuri Ancarani, Fernando Enrique Juan Lima, Shannon Murphy and RaMell Ross to judge cutting-edge international works.
• Charlotte Wells leads the Luigi De Laurentiis Award jury for best first feature with Erige Sehiri and Silvio Soldini evaluating debut films across all festival sections.
• The 82nd festival runs from August 27 to September 6 in Venice, with the full film lineup scheduled to be announced on July 22.
