Overview

• The 2025 Venice Immersive lineup features 69 VR, AR, mixed-reality and haptic projects from 27 countries, with 30 selected for competition.
• Jurors Eliza McNitt, Gwenael François and Boris Labbé will award the Grand Prize, Special Jury Prize and Achievement Prize during the showcase from August 27 to September 6 on Lazzaretto Vecchio.
• Competition highlights include Doug Liman’s XR thriller Asteroid, slated to launch on Google’s XR App later this year, and Edward Berger’s immersive film Submerged for Apple.
• Since its 2017 debut as the first VR competition at an A-list festival, Venice Immersive has remained a leading platform for next-generation storytelling.
• Another 34 works will screen out of competition under the Best of Experiences and Best of Worlds banners, spotlighting acclaimed and experimental XR creations.
