Venezuelan Migrant Arrested for Sexual Assault of 14-Year-Old in Colorado

The suspect, who entered the U.S. illegally in 2023, had been living in the victim’s family home and evaded capture for nearly three months.

Jesus Alberto Pereira Castillo, a 20-year-old Venezuelan migrant, has been charged with sexually assaulting his boss's 14-year-old daughter in Colorado.
The alleged assault occurred on August 29, 2024, while Castillo was living in the family's basement; he fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
Authorities located and arrested Castillo in Denver on November 19, 2024, following weeks of investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Castillo illegally crossed into the U.S. in September 2023 via El Paso, Texas, and was released by Border Patrol due to overcrowding in detention facilities.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has filed a detainer request for Castillo, who remains in the custody of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
