Venezuelan Gang Members Arrested in NYC Following Colorado Apartment Invasion

Two members of the Tren de Aragua gang were detained in a major drug and credit card fraud bust after months of investigation into violent crimes across multiple states.

Denyeer Aramillo Meneses, 23, and Edison Pena Angulo, 25, were arrested in the Bronx during an early-morning raid by the NYPD and Homeland Security Investigations.
The pair had been wanted for their involvement in an armed apartment invasion in Aurora, Colorado, which was captured on video and gained national attention.
The arrests were part of a six-month investigation that led to the detention of 15 suspected members of the Tren de Aragua gang, linked to drug trafficking, credit card fraud, and violent crimes.
Authorities seized an arsenal of weapons, including assault rifles and pistols, as well as narcotics such as heroin, synthetic marijuana, and the drug Tussi during the operation.
The gang has been accused of taking over apartment complexes in Aurora and has been connected to a series of violent incidents and robberies across multiple states.
