Velavan Senthilkumar Wins Budapest Open

Senthilkumar defeated Hungary’s Balazs Farkas 11-4, 11-2, 11-3 in the Budapest Open final to claim the title.
He reached the final after a five-game semifinal win over compatriot Veer Chotrani that ended 9-11, 11-8, 11-7, 1-11, 12-10.
On his way to the title Senthilkumar upset top seed Eain Yow Ng in the quarterfinals by 11-2, 11-9, 11-8.
The win is reported as Senthilkumar’s maiden PSA Copper-level crown and his 11th PSA Tour title while he sits at world No. 54 and entered the event as the eighth seed.
