Jack Eichel scored the winning goal with just under 5 minutes remaining to help the Vegas Golden Knights claim their fifth straight win of the season, setting a franchise record.
Other Golden Knights contributors included Jonathan Marchessault, Brett Howden, Alec Martinez, and Nicolas Roy who also scored, while Logan Thompson had 36 saves in the thrilling 5-3 victory over Winnipeg Jets.
The Golden Knights have tied the NHL record for the best start to a season by a reigning Stanley Cup champion, sharing the record with the 1985-86 Edmonton Oilers and the 1920-21 Ottawa Senators.
For the Jets, Alex Iafallo managed to score two goals while Nikolaj Ehlers provided two assists - goals also came from Cole Perfetti.
The impressive start to the season follows the Golden Knights' defeat of the Jets in the first round of the last season's Western Conference playoffs, with Jets' goalie Laurent Brossoit making 22 saves in his debut for the team.
