Vauxhall Unveils Rally-Inspired Electric Mokka GSE

Combining a 276bhp powerplant with a motorsport-tuned chassis Vauxhall plans to set pricing under £37,000 to tap into UK electric car grants

Overview

  • The Mokka GSE is powered by a 54kWh battery and electric motor delivering 276bhp and 345Nm with 0-60mph in 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 124mph.
  • Chassis enhancements include a Torsen limited-slip differential, double hydraulic shock absorbers and a 10mm lower ride height for improved handling.
  • Exterior updates feature 20-inch alloy wheels, yellow four-piston brake calipers and GSE badging while the interior adds Alcantara trim, sports seats and aluminium pedals.
  • The model shares its drivetrain architecture with the Peugeot electric 208 GTI’s front-wheel-drive 280hp e-motor and limited-slip differential.
  • Vauxhall intends to launch the Mokka GSE in November 2025 with final pricing due soon as it targets sub-£37,000 to secure the UK electric car grant.
