Vatrano's hat trick leads Ducks to first win after 14-game skid

The Anaheim Ducks ended their 14-game losing streak with a 6-3 home opener win against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Frank Vatrano scored a hat trick while Cam Fowler, Sam Carrick and Pavel Mintyukov also tallied goals for the Ducks.
The Hurricanes took an early lead but could not maintain it as the Ducks rallied for their first victory under new coach Greg Cronin.
