Overview

• Crime Branch Unit-3 laid a trap near Shripal-1 Tower in Fadarwadi, Vasai East, and intercepted a white Swift around 9.30 pm.
• Searches in the presence of witnesses recovered 2.011 kg of heroin valued at ₹8,10,05,000 along with mobile phones and the car.
• The accused were identified as Samundarsingh Rupsingh Devda, 49, of Sirohi, and Yuvrajsingh Bhavanisingh Rathod, 28, and Takatsingh Karansingh Rajput, 38, both of Jodhpur.
• A case was registered at Waliv Police Station under NDPS sections 8(c) and 21(c), and the trio were produced before police authorities.
• Senior oversight included Police Commissioner Niket Kaushik with Additional Commissioner Dattatray Shinde, DCP (Crime) Sandeep Doiphode and ACP Madan Ballal.
