Vanderbilt Star Tight End Eli Stowers Commits to Final College Season

The All-SEC standout aims to elevate his draft stock and help transform Vanderbilt’s football program in 2025.

Eli Stowers, Vanderbilt's first-team All-SEC tight end, has announced he will return for the 2025 season instead of entering the NFL draft.
Stowers, a 6'4'', 225-pound senior, transferred to Vanderbilt in 2024 after stints at Texas A&M and New Mexico State.
He recorded 49 receptions for 638 yards and five touchdowns in 2024, including standout performances against Alabama, Georgia State, and Ball State.
Stowers cited his desire to improve as a player and contribute to changing the culture and reputation of Vanderbilt’s football program as key reasons for his decision.
His return bolsters Vanderbilt’s prospects for 2025, alongside quarterback Diego Pavia, the 2024 SEC Newcomer of the Year, who also secured an additional year of eligibility.
