- Boelter donned a police uniform and drove an SUV equipped with lights to fatally shoot former House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband in Brooklyn Park and injure Senator John Hoffman and his wife in Champlin on June 14.
- More than 100 officers and SWAT teams combed rural Sibley County before Boelter surrendered to authorities by crawling from a wooded area near his home late on June 15.
