Van der Sloot faces sentencing in Holloway extortion scheme over decade after her disappearance

Joran van der Sloot will be sentenced today for trying to extort money from Natalee Holloway's family in 2010.
Holloway went missing in Aruba in 2005 and was last seen with van der Sloot, who has long been suspected in her disappearance.
Van der Sloot is currently serving a 28-year sentence in Peru for the 2010 murder of Stephany Flores.
Holloway's body was never found after her disappearance in Aruba over 10 years ago.
Van der Sloot was indicted on wire fraud and extortion charges in 2010 for trying to get money from Holloway's family by claiming he had information about her disappearance.
