Van der Sloot Admits to Killing Natalee Holloway in Plea Deal

Confessed killer Joran van der Sloot reveals brutal details of Natalee Holloway's 2005 murder in Aruba.

Joran van der Sloot, a Dutch national, pleaded guilty to the murder of Natalee Holloway and confessed to the crime after years of silence. He admitted to brutally killing the teenager on an Aruba beach in 2005 after she turned him down for sex.
Van der Sloot had already been convicted for the murder of 21-year-old Stephany Flores in 2021 in Peru. As part of a plea deal, he will go back to Peru to serve out his sentences for both crimes and will remain incarcerated in a Peruvian prison.
An important element of the plea deal was that it included van der Sloot's detailed confession to the killing of Holloway, providing long-awaited answers to her shocked and grieving family, 18 years after Natalee's disappearance.
Alongside the murder charges, van der Sloot also faced charges for extortion and fraud for selling false information regarding Natalee's whereabouts to her bereaved mother.
Despite van der Sloot's detailed confession, there remains skepticism in some quarters about its accuracy and completeness, considering his history of repeatedly lying about the events of the fateful night.
