Vampire Weekend to Release Fifth Album in April

The new album 'Only God Was Above Us' draws inspiration from 20th century New York City and features a special eclipse concert.

Vampire Weekend announces their fifth studio album 'Only God Was Above Us,' set to release on April 5.
The album, inspired by 20th century New York City, features 10 tracks including 'Capricorn' and 'Gen-X Cops,' releasing on February 16.
Recorded across Manhattan, Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo, the album was produced by Ezra Koenig and Ariel Rechtshaid.
The album title and artwork are derived from a 1988 photo featuring a New York Daily News headline about an Aloha Airlines flight incident.
In addition to the album, Vampire Weekend will perform at Austin's Moody Amphitheater during the solar eclipse on April 8.
