Valuables Returned to Puri’s Ratna Bhandar in High-Security Transfer
Officials completed a four-hour, fully recorded transfer into the repaired Ratna Bhandar under a committee’s supervision.

- Entry for devotees was halted from 10 am as the Natamandap and Jagmohan were vacated and access to the main temple and Jhulan Mandap was barred.
- The movement of ornaments and other items began at 10:55 am and finished at 2:55 pm, according to the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration.
- The process followed the Sri Jagannath Temple Rules, 1960 and state-approved guidelines, with videography to document each step.
- Oversight was provided by the Ratna Bhandar committee led by retired Justice Biswanath Rath, with the Puri collector and SP present and multi-agency security deployed.
- Officials said the inner chamber keys were deposited in the district treasury as required, and devotees could obtain Mahaprasad at Anand Bazaar with entry restrictions to be lifted after completion.
