Valorant Plans Unreal Engine 5 Upgrade and Replay System Ahead of Fifth Anniversary

Overview

  • Valorant will port to Unreal Engine 5 in patch 11.02, scheduled for late July 2025, with improved frame rates and faster future downloads.
  • A built-in replay system will launch with patch 11.06 in September 2025, initially covering competitive matches before expanding to other modes.
  • New anti-smurfing measures will require multi-factor authentication for suspicious accounts and add an account standing dashboard to track player behavior.
  • Patch 11.00 has added a new map to competitive play, and rank rating losses on that map will be halved during the first two weeks to help players acclimate.
  • Valorant’s fifth anniversary in patch 11.02 will include a free event pass and a commemorative gun buddy for all players who log in.
