Overview

  • Vicente Martínez Mus said Metrovalencia’s València Sud–Castelló segment will resume service in the last week of June following completion of safety and equipment tests.
  • Metrovalencia currently serves 127 of its 147 stations and will fully restore lines 1, 2 and 7 once the final segment reopens.
  • The reconstruction has cost over €130 million, with €34 million earmarked for the València Sud complex and €28 million invested in track upgrades that enabled limited operations since mid-February.
  • Upgrades include a new control center, renewal of 10,000 meters of track and a pedestrian underpass connecting to a 500-space intermodal parking facility.
  • The rebuilt Paiporta station uses a 450-ton prefabricated structure and features enhanced accessibility, a spacious concourse and modern passenger amenities.
