Overview

  • On July 15, Policía Nacional’s Grupo de Ciberdelincuencia arrested the suspect in Valladolid for illegal access to computer systems and persistent telematic harassment of her ex-partner.
  • Authorities say she exploited the victim’s personal data—including name, DNI, address, email and phone number—to fraudulently contract services such as loans, web reservations and administrative procedures.
  • Police concluded she accessed the victim’s Facebook account without authorization, altered his username, published posts and impersonated him to message his family.
  • The sustained online stalking drove the victim to change his phone number, email address and ultimately his residence, causing severe disruption to his personal and professional life.
  • After transferring the police files to judicial authorities, she was released pending trial while investigators continue probing international call logs, particularly those originating in the United States, for possible connections.
