Canadian skier Valerie Grenier wins a giant slalom in Slovenia, marking her triumphant return to the resort of her first World Cup victory.
Mikaela Shiffrin, who won the previous GS in Austria, finishes in ninth, marking her worst result in 15 giant slaloms since November 2022.
Lara Gut-Behrami came closest to Grenier, trailing by 0.37 seconds, while Federica Brignone was 0.51 back in third.
Despite her ninth-place finish, Shiffrin still leads the overall standings, with runner-up Brignone closing the gap to 232 points.
The race was marred by persistent rainfall, which softened the lower part of the Podkoren course.
