Overview
- Yankelevich secured his first TC2000 victory at Parque Ciudad de General Roca by taking the lead from third on the grid during the first lap and holding it to the finish, completing a 1-2-3 result for Toyota Gazoo Racing.
- The driver said he spoke to his mother during the formation lap and dedicated the win to Romina Yan, telling reporters he felt her presence while defending the lead.
- Multiple family members posted public congratulations on social media, including grandmother Cris Morena and grandfather Gustavo Yankelevich, and Yankelevich celebrated the result with teammates and his girlfriend at the track.
- The result caps a rapid rise: Yankelevich debuted in TC2000 in April 2025, joined Toyota Gazoo Racing in March 2026, and had already shown pace with a Buenos Aires podium earlier this year.
- The victory comes weeks after Yankelevich publicly accused his father Darío Giordano of childhood physical and psychological abuse, and coverage treats the win as both sporting validation and a deeply personal milestone.
