Overview
- PSPV-PSOE said it will present a querella to the Public Prosecutor accusing acting president Carlos Mazón of false testimony under Penal Code article 502.3.
- Carlos Mazón told the congressional commission he may not have heard a 19:10 call from then interior chief Salomé Pradas because his phone was in his backpack, and he said that at 19:43 he did not know people were drowning.
- Mazón defended that Pradas never refused to send an alert message and did not seek his authorization for it.
- PSOE’s congressional spokesperson, Patxi López, said the party believes Mazón lied but will decide on any judicial action after the commission issues its conclusions.
- PSPV leader Diana Morant accused Mazón of lying and questioned his competence, while López criticized PP leadership and warned of a swift PP–Vox alignment in Valencia that could bolster Juanfran Pérez Llorca.
