Overview

  • Work on the CV-42 corridor entered its third and final phase this week, following November’s initial repairs after floods shifted the Magro River bridge by 50 centimeters.
  • Hydraulic jacks are being used to realign the displaced span and the repair design includes upgrades to its structural resistance and durability.
  • The Generalitat has committed €4.7 million to the CV-42 project and implemented an alternative route to maintain traffic during full closures.
  • Under the Recuperem València plan, three additional flood-damaged bridges in Algemesí are undergoing repairs with a separate €2.5 million investment.
  • All four crossings are slated for reopening by the end of summer, concluding a major infrastructure resilience effort after the October 2024 floods.
