Overview

  • The Generalitat Valenciana has allocated over €125 million across 42 emergency contracts to repair Metrovalencia infrastructure damaged by severe floods earlier this year.
  • Currently, 127 of 147 stations are operational, with work ongoing to reopen the remaining 20 stations in the Paiporta–Castelló segment.
  • Replacement bus services, implemented immediately after the floods, will continue to ensure connectivity until the full metro network is restored.
  • Key upgrades include a new station in Paiporta, rehabilitation of Picanya station, and new command posts in Machado and Valencia Sud.
  • The government aims to complete all repairs and reopen the entire network before the summer to restore full mobility for users across 36 municipalities.
