Valencia CF and Algemesí Council Launch Rebuild of Flood-Damaged Stadium

The €336,000 turf and irrigation overhaul will run alongside council-led upgrades to stands and changing rooms to help 470 athletes resume play under the city’s flood recovery plan.

Overview

  • On May 29, 2025, Valencia CF’s VCF Foundation signed an agreement with the Algemesí City Council to begin rebuilding the Municipal Stadium damaged by the October 2024 DANA.
  • The club is investing €336,005.10 to replace the entire 8,011.50 m² artificial turf and overhaul the irrigation system while preserving the field’s original dimensions.
  • Algemesí City Council will oversee reconstruction of locker rooms, the grandstand and other annexed spaces to restore full functionality.
  • The project is part of the municipality’s broader plan to repair infrastructure hit by last year’s flood, and work is already underway.
  • Once completed, nearly 470 players from Racing Algemesí CF and Algemesí CF will regain access to modernized training and match facilities.
