Overview

  • The Servicio de Movilidad installed the seventh radar at El Forn d’Alcedo on July 29 at the Camino de la Alquería del Cachorro junction.
  • It expands the network beyond the six existing units on Ronda Norte, Bulevar Sur, Pérez Galdós, Ciutadella, General Avilés and Enginyer Fausto Elío, three of which were added in the past three months.
  • The pedagogical devices do not issue fines but display real-time speed to encourage compliance with the 30 km/h limit.
  • Each radar is housed in a solar-powered aluminium enclosure with high-brightness LEDs that flash green for compliance or red for overspeed.
  • Data gathered anonymously by the radars supports Valencia’s broader traffic-calming policies and helps assess driving patterns in urban corridors.
