Vail Resorts Launches Epic Friend Tickets for Half-Price Companion Lift Passes

The new benefit standardizes 50 percent discounts for companions across Vail’s 37 North American resorts by replacing the Buddy Ticket system.

Overview

  • Eligible Epic Pass holders receive 10 half-price tickets if they purchased before April 14, 2025, or six if they bought passes later.
  • Companions can redeem Epic Friend Tickets online at EpicPass.com and activate them in the My Epic app once the pass holder scans at the lift gate.
  • Each ticket cuts the day-lift price by half and the full amount paid can be credited toward a 2026–27 Epic Pass purchase.
  • The program covers full-season products such as Epic Pass, Epic Local, Epic Military and Northeast Value passes but excludes Epic Day Pass offerings.
  • Vail is promoting the benefit during its lowest fall pass sale, which ends September 1, 2025, when standard prices take effect.
