Overview
- Photos showed several Cienega High School math teachers wearing white T-shirts reading “Problem Solved” with red stains down the left side for Halloween.
- Parents and TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet alleged the imagery echoed Charlie Kirk’s Sept. 10 killing and circulated the photo on social media.
- The Vail School District removed the Facebook images, said the shirts were used this year and last as a math-themed costume, and stated they would not be worn again.
- The district’s apology post was later taken down from its Facebook page, according to the coverage.
- Superintendent John Carruth apologized for the distress and urged residents to stop online targeting of staff, calling personal attacks and threats unacceptable.
