Uzbekistan Opens Five Fully Funded Postgraduate Scholarships for Indian Students

The initiative aims to strengthen educational ties by offering cultural exchange opportunities

Overview

  • The Government of Uzbekistan is offering five fully funded scholarships for the 2025–26 academic year at the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Samarkand.
  • All programmes are conducted in English and cover fields such as Tourism and Hospitality, Archaeology, Museum Studies, Restoration and Management.
  • Recipients will receive annual round-trip economy airfare, a $500 monthly living allowance, up to $100 monthly accommodation support and two cultural tours within Uzbekistan with a $100 travel stipend per trip.
  • Applicants must submit a valid passport or ID, bachelor’s degree certificate, CV, recent photograph, proof of English proficiency or evidence of English-medium undergraduate study and a 1–1.5-page essay on contributing to tourism development in SCO countries.
  • Applications must be submitted through the official university portal by August 1, 2025, with final selections made exclusively by Uzbekistan authorities without involvement from the Government of India.
