Overview
- The national park opened on June 1 and will welcome tourists until October 31, with daily entry permits and mandatory 5 pm exits.
- Forest Range Officer Chetna Kandpal reported 83 trekkers entered from Ghangaria on the inaugural day, with 79 offline and 4 online registrations.
- The valley is home to over 300 plant and animal species, including the sacred Brahma Kamal, snow leopard and Himalayan black bear.
- Authorities have repaired trekking paths and installed temporary bridges over seasonal streams to enhance safety on the 3-kilometre trail from Ghangaria.
- Peak wildflower bloom is expected between July and September, and visitors can also trek to the nearby Hemkund Sahib pilgrimage site.
