  • Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday laid foundation stones for 36 projects worth ₹113.99 crore and inaugurated 27 projects worth ₹41.37 crore, together totaling ₹155.36 crore under the Seva, Sushasan evam Samarpan Seva Pakhwada programme.
  • The announced works focus on roads and bridges, restoration of 13 mountain canals, irrigation and flood protection, plus new health, education, fisheries and sports facilities such as a model veterinary hospital, a trout hatchery and a badminton hall.
  • Major named projects include a steel truss bridge at Jugju on the Joshimath‑Niti road and a steel bridge on the Langsi‑Dweeng‑Tapovan‑Lanji‑Pokhani motor road, along with upgrades to motor roads and tourism infrastructure at Kalpeshwar.
  • The public programme at Gopeshwar drew a large crowd and produced a notable political moment when Congress MLA Lakhpat Butola praised the chief minister on stage for nonpartisan development work.
  • Officials have publicized the project list but have not released firm timelines, contractor appointments or disbursement schedules, leaving on‑the‑ground delivery and completion dates unclear while the package aims to strengthen Chamoli's strategic and cultural infrastructure.
