Overview
- QR code–based checks will let buyers view ownership history, past transactions, and seller credentials, with historical data expected online within about six months.
- Land registry data will be integrated with revenue records and revenue officials will be posted at registration offices so buyer names update immediately after registration.
- Tenancy registration is planned at a fixed ₹500–₹1,000, and family property settlements covering up to four generations will carry a ₹5,000 flat fee.
- A 1% stamp duty rebate for women buyers applies to properties valued up to ₹1 crore, alongside reported growth to roughly 50 lakh annual registrations and about ₹35,000 crore in 2025 revenue.
- Registration offices will be upgraded on the Passport Seva Kendra model, stamp‑paper ATMs will dispense common denominations, and stamp‑duty parameters will be simplified from 42 to roughly 18–20.
