Overview
- The nationwide Seva Parv campaign targets 1.25 crore saplings, with Uttar Pradesh assigned 15 lakh.
- On September 17, each of the state's 34 Nagar Vans must plant at least 100 saplings to launch the effort.
- All 75 districts will participate, and Divisional Forest Officers have been designated as nodal officers to plan, monitor and mobilize the public.
- Plantation sites will be documented through photographs and MIS data on the Meri Life portal, while District Plantation Committees coordinate protection and maintenance.
- Parallel activities include rainwater harvesting, single-use plastic reduction, biodiversity awareness and cleanliness drives in forest offices, depots, zoos and wildlife sanctuaries.
