Overview
- Applications must now be submitted only through rte25.upsdc.gov.in with Aadhaar details for the child and both parents.
- A district magistrate-led implementation and monitoring committee will supervise the process, with a four-member dispute panel under the CDO handling grievances.
- Private schools must upload available seats, publicly display allotted-student lists, and register admitted children on the RTE and UDISE portals to be eligible for reimbursement.
- Fee reimbursement to schools and the ₹5,000 annual grant to parents will be released only after 100% district verification and quarterly on-site inspections by Block Education Officers.
- Eligibility includes SC/ST, SEBC, orphans, children of parents with HIV/AIDS or cancer, Divyangjan, and families earning up to ₹1 lakh, with age limits set at 3–6 for pre-primary and 6–7 for Class 1; forged documents or unjustified denial of allotted seats will trigger legal or recognition action.
