Overview
- The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission published Advertisement No. 07/2026 and opened applications for headmaster and principal posts on October 23 and for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) posts on October 24, 2026.
- The drive covers 20,382 vacancies in aided secondary schools, including 17,735 TGTs, 1,172 headmaster posts and 1,475 principal posts as listed in the official notification.
- All candidates must complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on upessc.up.gov.in before applying and submit applications online through the commission’s portal.
- Application fees must be paid in late November — Rs 1,000 for General/OBC/EWS, Rs 500 for SC/ST and Rs 300 for PwD — and correction windows close on November 25–26 depending on the post.
- Selection is by a 120-question multiple-choice exam worth 360 marks with subject-specific eligibility (including B.Ed and prescribed TET), appointments at Pay Level 7 and subject-wise TGT openings led by Hindi and English.
