Overview
- Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath opened the three-day UP HealthTech Conclave 1.0 in Lucknow and cast Uttar Pradesh as serving health needs beyond its 25 crore residents.
- The UP-IMRAS platform will take online submissions for clinical trials, pharmaceuticals and medical device research, with digital review, approval and monitoring by Institutional Ethics Committees.
- The government released standardized SOPs for IECs covering 22 procedures to unify ethics compliance and improve transparency across studies.
- Adityanath said the state now has 81 medical colleges, two AIIMS and over 100 government district hospitals, and he claimed gains in maternal and infant mortality with encephalitis deaths reduced to zero.
- He highlighted 5.5 crore Ayushman Golden Cards providing up to ₹5 lakh per family and promoted village-level screening, teleconsultation and AI tools alongside fast-tracked device and bulk-drug parks in the Yamuna Authority region and Lalitpur.
