Overview
- The scheme officially launched on July 7 will mass-produce toothpaste, ointments and other Ayurvedic products derived from the five-part Panchgavya blend.
- AYUSH Department support includes laboratory validation and clinical protocols for medicines made from cow milk, curd, ghee, urine and dung.
- Cow urine–based formulations are earmarked to treat 19 conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, asthma and anaemia.
- Raw materials will be sourced from revitalized cow shelters to create jobs for cowherds, farmers and rural youth across Uttar Pradesh.
