Overview

  • Grants of Rs 4 crore to Rs 10 crore per municipal body will be allocated based on population and efficiency to upgrade local infrastructure and services.
  • A hub-and-spoke model will link district municipalities to Integrated Command and Control Centres in Lucknow and Gorakhpur for monitoring, security and grievance redressal.
  • Proposals include operating 200 electric buses on the LucknowKanpur route under a net cost contract and directly purchasing 650 buses for other cities, alongside rapid rollout of charging infrastructure.
  • The state will prioritise a PPP-mode Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad International Shooting Range and a multipurpose sports complex in Lucknow to support sports development and jobs.
  • Project selection will reflect local needs with funds tied to physical and financial progress, approval limits for municipal leaders will be raised after two decades, and campaigns will address discrepancies in municipal tax arrears.
