Overview

• Chandigarh University’s new Unnao campus opened as India’s first private AI-augmented multidisciplinary university on July 26, aligning its curriculum with the National Education Policy’s focus on research and innovation.
• Lucknow has secured ₹10,732 crore under the IndiaAI Mission to deploy 10,000 GPUs, develop multi-modal language models and establish an AI innovation center as part of its bid to become India’s first AI City.
• The AI Pragya scheme is training 1.5 lakh residents each month in AI, data analytics, machine learning and cybersecurity through partnerships with Microsoft, Intel, Google and Guvi toward a 10 lakh-person target.
