Overview

• The reduction applies to UPSRTC Janrath, Pink, Shatabdi, Volvo and AC sleeper services.
• Buses registered on or after January 1, 2024 are excluded from the concession.
• Discounted fares take effect immediately and will remain in place until further notice.
• Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh framed the step as a passenger comfort and affordability measure.
• Drivers and conductors will receive counselling to help attract riders so the corporation’s gross revenue is not hit.
